Relational trauma isn’t just something we think about—it’s something we feel in our bodies. When trust has been broken or relationships have left deep emotional wounds, the nervous system often holds onto those experiences in ways we don’t always recognize.
This is where Somatic Experiencing (SE) becomes a powerful tool for healing. SE is a body-based approach to trauma recovery that helps regulate the nervous system, release stored tension, and restore a sense of safety in relationships.
Through SE, clients learn to:
🔹 Identify how past relational wounds show up in the body (e.g., chronic tension, anxiety, numbness)
🔹 Gently process and release stored trauma without being overwhelmed
🔹 Develop greater emotional resilience and a deeper connection to themselves and others
Relational trauma can make us feel stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, avoidance, or fear of intimacy, but healing doesn’t have to be about ‘thinking’ your way through it. Your body holds the story—and it also holds the key to healing.
If you’ve experienced relational trauma, have you noticed how it shows up physically?
